Position Overview:

As a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) at Nightwing, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our information systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing cybersecurity measures and mentoring a dedicated team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of configuration management requests within your authority.
  • Perform both technical and administrative assessments to ensure system integrity.
  • Integrate innovative cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools into existing frameworks.
  • Assist in the development, review, and enhancement of cybersecurity documentation.
  • Guide and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures as outlined in cybersecurity documentation.
  • Engage in occasional travel to support various locations as needed.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with network security principles, operating system configurations, and compliance auditing.
  • Possession of IAM Level I certification (Security+ or equivalent).
  • Active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in classified operating environments within the Department of Defense.
  • Knowledge of various information system security tools and government directives.
  • Experience in executing Assessment & Authorization processes and providing technical security consultation.
