About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant General Manager to join our team at Border Foods. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall success of our restaurant operations, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience and that our team members are empowered to deliver their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a high-performing team of restaurant staff, including shift leaders, cooks, and cashiers.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team engagement, retention, and productivity.
  • Restaurant Operations
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including food preparation, customer service, and inventory management.
    • Ensure that all restaurant systems and processes are in place and functioning effectively.
  • Customer Experience
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Ensure that all customer interactions are positive and that customer feedback is acted upon.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the restaurant's budget and financial performance, including labor costs, inventory, and sales.
    • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure that all restaurant operations are in compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate risks to the restaurant and the company.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum of three years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills
    • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, team members, and vendors.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed business decisions.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
