Job Summary

The Manager, Employee Leaves & Accommodations is a key role within Northeast Georgia Health System, responsible for providing effective management, compliance, and administration of the organization's leave and accommodation programs. This includes Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), military leave, and workplace accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Leave Team in day-to-day operational support, hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and performance management.
  • Establish efficient workflows, processes, and procedures to provide a personalized experience for employees and management.
  • Develop and provide oversight around the return-to-work process for employees returning from FMLA or other leaves.
  • Handle complex leave cases and provide expert advice and guidance on difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party administrators and vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective services associated with leaves, accommodations, and disability programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, with at least three (3) years focused on absence management administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of leave of absence laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and state-specific leave laws.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, SPHR/PHR).
  • Two (2) years of previous managerial experience.
