Job Summary

We are seeking a Manager, People & Culture to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and executing HR strategies and initiatives for our designated facility, including employee relations, people leader coaching, employee engagement, recognition, and talent/performance management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to leadership on change management, organization assessment, and HR tools and programs to create an effective organization and drive employee engagement.
  • Consult with management to support pay for performance, coach managers through all aspects of performance management, and partner with people leaders regarding corrective action and performance improvement processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on employee relations, conducting investigations, research policies/practices, creating and gathering documentation, making determinations, and implementing resolutions when applicable.
  • Partner with the Leadership Team to define, develop, and champion strategic initiatives focused on organizational culture, the employee experience, and applicable organizational changes.
  • Develop and coach the People & Culture team members on achieving both department and personal goals, maintaining the highest compliance standards, and providing quality HR services.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to develop and implement headcount planning processes, staffing initiatives, reward and recognition programs, organizational effectiveness assessments, team development, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assess and develop training programs and act as a facilitator in delivering effective leadership and employee development programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and perform qualitative data analysis of department KPIs and other metrics to inform and influence the organization's people programs.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline, preferably Human Resources Management or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive Human Resources experience or minimum of two (2) years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Biotech industry experience.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • Strong experience with employee relations issues and investigations.
  • High degree of personal initiative and achievement motivation, setting personal standards of excellence and ongoing performance improvement.
  • High level of self-confidence with ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with clients and HR.
  • Strong analytical skills, including reporting, synthesizing data to identify themes, and creating solutions to address identified issues.
  • Professional demeanor with attention to detail and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced software skills: Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Word) SharePoint, Adobe, and Visio a plus. Prior experience with HRIS systems, UKG or Ultimate experience highly preferred.
  • Previous experience building and implementing project plans as a lead or member of cross-functional teams.
Working Conditions

Some travel required (approximately 15%). Travel may be domestic by car or airplane.
