About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Event Sales Manager to join our team at Hotel Per La. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for soliciting, capturing, planning, and coordinating small meetings and events with 10 rooms or less, while maximizing banquet space to meet and exceed catering revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, and other efforts.
  • Execute a territorial marketing strategy to capture maximum revenue and meet sales goals.
  • Plan, upsell, and detail meetings and events with clients, including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes, and decorations.
  • Complete contracts, prepare paperwork, coordinate with hotel areas, and resolve issues to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare status and period-end reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate and hotel procedures, products, and competition to improve sales strategies and achieve goals.
  • Provide professional and positive communication to guests and fellow associates.
Requirements
  • More than two years of post-high school education.
  • One to two years of experience in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
  • Thorough knowledge of catering, food and beverage, menu development, and pricing.
  • Knowledge of hotel policies and procedures and ability to determine course of action based on these guidelines.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze current activities and information involving readily available data and indicating logical conclusions and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including negotiation, convincing, selling, and influencing professionals and/or hotel guests.
  • Ability to drive to outside sales calls.
  • Excellent comprehension and literacy required to develop marketing plans, create menus, and programs.
