Job Summary

Altumint is seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team in the Chesapeake, Virginia location. This role will involve conducting on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to address electrical and mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to address electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Work independently to diagnose and repair both AC and DC circuit assemblies and components.
  • Interpret and understand electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate and efficient problem resolution.
  • Manage local inventory to ensure availability of necessary components for timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Utilize proficiency in Linux and Windows Operating Systems to address technical challenges.
  • Demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Efficiently communicate ideas and solutions to team members and clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in similar technical service position.
  • Bachelors or associate degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study is preferred.
  • Proficient experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel).
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to repair AC and DC circuit assemblies and components.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying ideas concisely.
