The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Services Specialist to join our team. As a Family Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support and services to families and individuals in need, while working closely with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and apply laws, policies, and regulations related to social services.
- Coordinate and administer specific programs, including child protective services, foster care, and employment services.
- Interview and assess customer needs, and provide case management services to monitor compliance.
- Develop and implement service plans to ensure the delivery of appropriate services to clients.
- Collaborate with other agencies and participate in multi-disciplinary teams to provide services to customers.
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation of programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience in a human services-related area. A Commonwealth of Virginia Social Worker license is also desirable.
Preferred QualificationsExperience writing court documents, interviewing individuals, and producing written reports. Strong typing and data entry skills, with the ability to follow 24-hour case documentation requirements. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
