Clinical Nurse Specialist in Maternal Mental Health

This is a grant-funded position at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The salary range for this role is estimated to be between $90,000 and $120,000 per year.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist in Maternal Mental Health to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work with patients with substance use disorders and provide education to staff, patients, families, and students using adult learning principles.
- Develop clear educational content for staff, patients, families, and students.
- Assist with staff development to encourage assumption of expanded roles.
- Develop and coordinate quality continuing education programs.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing plans of care for identified patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Identifying and recommending clinical standards of practice for the patient population.
- Collaborating with other health professionals to develop and evaluate programs and services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Current licensure as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
- Experience working in maternal mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
