Job Description

This full-time position is located at our Knoxville learning site in Tennessee. You will be responsible for on-ground teaching in mental health courses for the BSN, ASN, or LPN certificate program. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining professional standards in teaching and clinical settings
  • Creating and submitting course syllabi, managing classrooms, using technology, submitting grades, and maintaining records
  • Participating in faculty meetings, projects, recruiting, and committee work
  • Developing and implementing teaching strategies to engage students in the profession of nursing
  • Mentoring, tutoring, and advising students to support their success
  • Maintaining currency in education and nursing knowledge through continuing education activities
  • Contributing to evaluation processes to measure outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (LPN certificate program) or Master's Degree in Nursing (LPN, BSN, & graduate programs)
  • Two years of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse
  • Prior education in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
  • An unrestricted license to practice in Tennessee
Compensation and Benefits
