Job Description

As a Network Administrator at Crane Worldwide Logistics, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering computer networks and related environments. You will provide hands-on and remote help-desk support, troubleshoot network issues, and perform upgrades and installations as needed. Collaboration with IT teams ensures seamless software and system operation, aligning with business objectives. Your technical expertise will shine as you document network infrastructure, ensure security compliance, and manage vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Perform hands-on and remote help-desk duties for clients such as troubleshooting desktops, printers, cables, cameras, and any other tasks assigned.
  • Perform network infrastructure upgrades, installations, and configurations as needed.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network problems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Document network infrastructure and keep network diagrams up to date.
  • Ensure network security and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external service providers when necessary.
  • Travel to remote sites for network installations or troubleshooting purposes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
  • Fortinet experience a plus.
  • Ekahau or similar wireless design a plus.
  • Experience configuring Layer 2 and layer 3 networking with 802.1q (VLANs), 802.1af/at (PoE), 802.1d (STP), BGP, OSPF, LACP.
