Position Overview

In this role, you will oversee the dining room service area with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities will include preparing the dining area for meals and special events, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring adherence to cleanliness and safety protocols established by the Institute and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various teams and clients to arrange the dining room for meals and events; coordinate setups with staff and manage the cleanup process according to established procedures.
  • Provide detailed information about dining operations and services to clients, addressing inquiries related to menu offerings and activities. * Monitor dining area equipment and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the menu and daily specials; take customer orders and may prepare food and beverages at the table as requested; ensure timely and proper delivery of orders.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitation and safety throughout the dining area.
  • Maintain cleanliness in server preparation areas and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Relay customer feedback and preferences to management regarding food choices and service quality.
  • Process customer orders and issue receipts; may handle additional cashiering tasks as required.
  • Assist with reservations and manage seating arrangements.
  • Participate in inventory management and supply ordering as needed.
  • Engage in opening and closing procedures, including reconciling transactions on the POS system.
Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential for performing job duties.
  • Flexibility to work split shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Prior experience with cash registers is necessary.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds, including tables, dishes, glassware, and food trays.
  • Possession of a California Food Handler's Card.
  • RBS Alcohol Server Certificate is required.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ServSafe sanitation and safety for food and beverage service.
