Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual who is passionate about serving people and making a positive impact in their community. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, while ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed
  • Support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval and in the absence of the Dining Services Director
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
Requirements
  • Culinary Arts degree or certification or a minimum of five years of culinary experience at the Sous Chef level or equivalent
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products
