Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Virginian. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all food production activities and assisting in the operations of our food venue options.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all food production activities, ensuring high-quality dishes and exceptional presentation.
  • Assist in the coordination of food preparation, cooking, and baking activities.
  • Maintain a positive, courteous work environment for staff and residents.
  • Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of kitchen staff.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining experience.
  • Culinary education and supervisory background desirable.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, interpret instructions, and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance, as well as nutrition and diet.
