Job Overview

Pilot Freight Service is on the lookout for a dedicated Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This role is based at our facility and requires flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist management with daily operational tasks, including:
  • Coordinating route assignments and ensuring compliance with contractor uniform standards.
  • Monitoring and communicating truck delays to relevant parties.
  • Verifying that pre-call protocols are adhered to and that all procedures are followed.
  • Auditing billing processes to ensure all documentation is accurately processed and maintained.
  • Managing incoming calls effectively.
  • Providing timely updates to customers regarding their delivery status using our computer systems.
  • Conducting pre-calls to inform customers of their delivery windows.
  • Facilitating in-home delivery arrangements, which involves:
    • Gathering necessary information from customers.
    • Inputting data into our systems accurately.
    • Clarifying scheduling policies to customers.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Attendance and punctuality are critical to this role.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer use and effective communication.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
