This recruitment effort aims to fill roles at the entry grade of GS-7, with a targeted advancement to GS-8 or at the full performance level of GS-8.

The salary range for GS-7 starts at $51,115 and goes up to $66,450, while for GS-8, the salary begins at $56,607 and can reach $73,587.

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade (GS-06 for GS-07 level and GS-07 for GS-08 level) within the federal service, demonstrating the capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

For GS-07: Specialized experience at the GS-06 level includes:
- Managing financial or accounting ledgers;
- Recording financial transactions;
- Generating accounting reports;
- Reconciling financial accounts;
- Utilizing various accounting and financial automated systems.

For GS-08: Specialized experience at the GS-07 level encompasses:
- Processing and auditing intricate contracts and vendor payment transactions;
- Reconciling data between pay systems and financial systems;
- Engaging with multiple electronic systems to investigate and resolve payment transaction discrepancies.


GS-07 Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the last 52 weeks must satisfy the time-in-grade requirement.

To qualify for GS-07, applicants must have completed 52 weeks in a GS-06 or higher position within Federal Service.


GS-08 Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the last 52 weeks must meet the time-in-grade requirement.

To qualify for GS-08, applicants must have completed 52 weeks in a GS-07 or higher position within Federal Service.


Eligibility for consideration may be established by meeting time-in-grade, specialized experience, educational requirements, and all other qualifications within 30 calendar days following the closing date of the announcement, unless specified otherwise in the announcement.
