Position Overview

Building Automation Systems Engineer
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in the design, integration, and commissioning of Controls and Building Automation Systems tailored for Mechanical / HVAC systems within data centers. They will spearhead the design of new installations and enhancements for HVAC and critical cooling systems, ensuring effective collaboration with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams to achieve optimal project results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams focused on automation design and coordinate efforts with various engineering disciplines.
  • Guide mechanical engineers in the design and development of control systems.
  • Design user interfaces for HVAC control systems.
  • Enhance programming, networking, and diagnostic standards.
  • Develop programming logic to align with operational requirements.
  • Design control systems specifically for HVAC equipment.
  • Review and authorize engineering documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews for building automation systems.
  • Assist in the configuration and programming of BAS networks.
  • Implement industry-leading practices in Critical Environment Programs.
  • Create process documentation and training resources.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and project teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Data Center Engineering with a focus on Automation and Controls.
  • 5-10+ years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Proficiency in PLC and ALC programming.
  • Familiarity with BAS protocols and common control systems.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
