About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at ResMed. As an Automation Technician, you will play a crucial role in optimizing processes, enhancing efficiency, and elevating productivity across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for automated equipment and systems.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring all PM documentation is up-to-date within the Quality System.
  • Be on call outside of normal shift hours as needed for emergencies within the facility.
  • Communicate all necessary safety information and safety hazards connected with work being performed.
  • Utilize complex blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and analyze problems.
Requirements
  • Excellent technical and operational knowledge of automated equipment and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems controlled by computers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and microprocessors in a high-volume work environment.
  • Highly proficient in pneumatics and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Strong aptitude for repair and maintenance activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to operate independently, multi-task, and prioritize quickly.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Technical vocational training preferred.
  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position required, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
