About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Sales Operations Manager to join our Data Center Solutions team at Align Communications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and connecting multiple departments, thinking on your feet, finding solutions, and multitasking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Sales Operations: Oversee the growth objectives, execute department goals, and manage special projects.
  • Evaluate and Improve Business Procedures: Regularly assess the efficiency of business procedures and apply improvements to align with organizational objectives.
  • Financial Management: Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Daily Onsite Management: Manage the local Plano, TX team, including purchasing, pricing, procurement, CW and document control, close out P&L/project close out, and inventory tracking.
  • Warehouse Management: Improve inventory management, track internal and project orders, and identify opportunities to add value to the business.
  • Special Projects Management: Support various business opportunities, manage pre-built data center racks, data center containment solutions, re-selling opportunities, and internal initiatives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate throughout the Data Center Solutions Line of Business, collaborate with other departments, and develop an efficient workflow to meet customer demands.
  • Risk Mitigation: Help mitigate risks for Sales Operations and the Data Center Solutions Line of Business.
  • Continuous Improvement: Manage continuous improvement within the warehouse and operations functions in conjunction with the Data Center Solutions Leadership.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a comparable field.
  • Experience: Five to ten years of progressive responsibility in sales operations, sales support, and/or supply chain management.
  • Data Center Industry Knowledge: Must be familiar with the Data Center Industry.
  • Motivation and Entrepreneurship: Must be a motivated, entrepreneurial out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Warehouse Management and Procurement: Experience in warehouse management and procurement is a plus.
  • Team Management: Proven team management experience.
  • Integrated Rack Build Experience: Experience developing and implementing methods and procedures designed to eliminate customer delivery problems and improve delivery times.
  • Financial Management: Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management is a plus.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales teams and operations teams.
  • Leadership and Employee Development: Proven leadership and employee development skills.
  • Planning and Organization: Demonstrated effective planning and organization skills.
