Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Sales Operations Manager to join our team at Align Communications. As a key member of our Data Center Solutions team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day sales support operations in our Plano office and collaborating with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise sales operations, including growth objectives, executing department goals, and special projects
  • Evaluate the efficiency of business procedures and apply improvements
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Manage the local Plano team, including purchasing, pricing, procurement, CW and document control, close out P&L/project close out, and inventory tracking
  • Maintain ongoing contact with all parties involved to ensure completeness and correctness of shipping documentation, quality control inspections, and other procurement-related items
  • Work closely with the Legal, Compliance, and Accounting departments to track issues and incoming/outgoing transactions
  • Manage special projects, including support for various business opportunities, pre-built data center racks, data center containment solutions, re-selling opportunities, and management of internal initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a comparable field
  • Five to ten years of progressive responsibility in sales operations, sales support, and/or supply chain management
  • Familiarity with the Data Center Industry
  • Motivated, entrepreneurial, and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Experience in warehouse management and procurement is a plus
  • Proven team management experience
  • Integrated Rack Build Experience
  • Experience developing and implementing methods and procedures to eliminate customer delivery problems and improve delivery times
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and works well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong Excel and MS Office Skills
  • Proven leadership and employee development skills
  • Demonstrated effective planning and organization skills
