Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, conducting initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzing assessment data, creating a plan of care, implementing treatment, and evaluating treatment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
  • Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
  • Process orders and provide medication review for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy during order processing.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products to include safe handling that is consistent with regulations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required).
  • Advanced pharmacy degree – Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred).
  • Maintains current license for pharmacist in the state(s) where practicing (required).
  • Valid state issued ID (required).
  • BLS Basic Life Support (preferred).
  • Immunization Certified (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting (required).
  • 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).
  • Experience in field of pharmacy practice (required).
  • One year of experience in field of pharmacy practice (preferred).
