About the Role

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medications for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Process orders and provide medication review for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy during order processing, and perform any necessary clinical support duties as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products, and maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and standards as promulgated by Federal, State, and accrediting agencies or regulating bodies.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee distributive functions of the pharmacy department to facilitate accurate and timely medication availability to patients/staff, and oversee pharmacy technicians and support personnel activities based on department need.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify, document, and resolve potential and actual adverse medication events, and participate in departmental medication safety, quality assurance, drug utilization reviews, drug dosing, infection prevention, student precepting, and other activities based on department need.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD.
  • Licensure: Maintains current license for pharmacist in the state(s) where practicing.
  • Experience: Experience in field of pharmacy practice, with one year of experience in field of pharmacy practice preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient use of all computer hardware and software, knowledge of pharmacy operating systems and automation, and core knowledge of medications, including adverse effects, interactions, proper dosing, monitoring parameters, and cost.
