Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at ProMedica Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and distribution of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
  • Work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to procure and distribute medication orders.
  • Fills physician orders, replenishes medication kits, and accurately prepares intravenous admixtures and other sterile preparations.
  • Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing medications and supplies.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to meet departmental goals and establishes mechanisms for communication and constructive problem-solving.
  • Performs training of new employees and in-services current employees in areas of specialization and/or expertise.
  • Maintains professional, helpful, and courteous relationships with nursing and other hospital employees, patients, and their families.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy (or equivalent in Michigan).
  • Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam permitted).
