How You Will Make a Difference


As an Activities Director, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents by planning, organizing, and overseeing a diverse array of activities that cater to their social, spiritual, and psychological needs.

  • Ensure that residents receive the necessary assistance for activities and events.
  • Provide in-room activities for residents who may not be able to participate in daily events.
  • Develop a continuous calendar of activities that creatively addresses the varied needs of residents, ensuring accessibility and appeal for individuals of all ages and abilities.
What You Need to Make a Difference


To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist; or
  • Certification as an Activity Director from the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals; or
  • Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, including one year of full-time experience in a resident activities program within a healthcare environment; or
  • Completion of a state-approved training course.

Additionally, one to two years of management or supervisory experience is required.
