Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Food Safety and Sanitation Supervisor who will provide leadership and daily support to operational management, ensuring adherence to our corporate Safe Quality Foods (SQF) plan. This role is crucial for overseeing and maintaining the Food Safety System (FSS) and sanitation protocols at our designated Growing Center.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the SQF Program at the assigned Mastronardi Produce growing center.
- Serve as the designated SQF Practitioner, ensuring compliance with relevant FSMA training.
- Maintain FSS documentation, databases, and records.
- Log and track non-compliances and FSS incidents, conduct investigations, and ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in the development and delivery of FSS training programs, maintaining training records.
- Conduct audits and maintain records for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Prepare and lead third-party, government, and customer audits, ensuring compliance with all standards.
- Conduct routine audits of the internal Food Safety Program and verify proper record-keeping by the Operations Team.
- Report FSS data to management, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train sanitation personnel, ensuring adherence to sanitation procedures and performance standards.
- Implement Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure a safe and quality product.
- Ensure proper use and storage of sanitation chemicals in line with established programs.
- Participate as a key member of the leadership team at the assigned facility, acting as the emergency contact for food safety issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in food science, biology, chemistry, agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in Food Safety/Quality Assurance/Management, with knowledge of SQF Systems and FSMA implementation.
- HACCP Certification is required.
- At least two years of supervisory experience is necessary.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred, depending on location.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proven leadership and team motivation skills.
- Experience with traceability and recall exercises.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, ISO 9001, cGMP, and SQF.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:
- The role involves working in a greenhouse environment with temperatures reaching up to 100°F and background noise levels around 70 dB.
- Occasional lifting and physical activity may be required.
