Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our North Dakota team. This role will involve leading geotechnical projects, developing and executing scopes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute geotechnical scopes for moderate to complex projects.
  • Review and provide feedback on engineering work from colleagues.
  • Perform engineering analysis using industry-standard methodologies.
  • Make geotechnical recommendations and prepare engineering reports for senior review.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to inform project decisions.
  • Perform routine civil engineering tasks, including familiarity with company procedures and operating protocols.
  • Conduct geotechnical design calculations, sketches, and technical comparisons as required.
  • Coordinate project assignments with engineers and technicians within the discipline group.
  • Review drawings and recommend necessary changes.
  • Identify complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Manage project teams, including engineering and field support personnel.
  • Oversee and train junior staff, promoting technical excellence and best practices.
  • Compile engineering calculations using standard formulas and computer software.
  • Prepare field reports documenting contractors' work methods, test results, and interpretations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering and 6+ years' experience.
  • PE licensure in North Dakota or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to qualify professional opinions and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Licensing and Certification
  • Valid driver's license and pass MVR as required.
  • PE Certification.
