Position Overview: We are currently seeking applications for the role of Production Operations Supervisor at our Recycling facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production schedules and establish shipment priorities while ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet deadlines and control inventory.
  • Oversee personnel performance, ensuring the integrity of sampling processes is upheld.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance for both plant and office environments.
  • Ensure completion of testing for the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Assist in the planning, review, and execution of plant projects.
  • Control operational costs while maintaining a safe and efficient facility.
  • Supervise employee safety and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with employees and medical personnel to implement modified work recommendations.
  • Work alongside Environmental Health & Safety teams to ensure regulatory compliance and act as an alternate Emergency Response Coordinator.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings and inspections, addressing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and policy requirements.
  • Responsible for the motivation, training, supervision, and performance management of all warehouse, maintenance, and production staff.
  • Enforce policy rules and procedures, addressing infractions among union personnel as needed.
  • Foster strong working relationships with union representatives and shop stewards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Production or Operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in the recycling industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented with proven conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a significant advantage.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting from $90,000.00 annually

Work Environment: In-person
