Position Overview

As a Finance Strategy Lead - General Administration, you will be an integral part of the Financial Planning & Strategy (FP&S) team at Checkr. This team is pivotal in guiding financial decision-making throughout the organization. We collaborate closely with various business units to support and enhance strategic choices across the company.

This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work cross-functionally. The ideal candidate will be curious, proactive, and thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for influencing data-driven business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary financial partner for G&A functions.
  • Provide data-driven analyses and prepare strategic materials for key management discussions, summarizing insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Develop actionable reporting, analyses, and KPI tracking to provide insights into operational expenditures, headcount, project costs, and efficiency opportunities.
  • Translate resource requirements into financial forecasts and ensure disciplined spend management in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the strategic financial planning and forecasting processes across the G&A organization.
  • Assist the Corporate Financial Planning team with various projects, planning, and ongoing process improvements.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams throughout Checkr.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment, including FP&A, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in building financial models and communicating financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior-level business partners.
  • Experience with enterprise planning and business intelligence tools.
