Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join our R&D Strategic Finance Team. This role is pivotal in bridging financial planning and analysis (FP&A) with strategic business operations across the R&D sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • R&D FP&A: Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analyses comparing actuals to budget/forecast, aiming to provide actionable insights into the operational and financial performance of the organization.
  • Strategic Finance: Perform comprehensive financial assessments of R&D expenditures, investments, and ROI, pinpointing areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Resource Management: Assist in steering R&D's annual and long-term planning processes, ensuring effective allocation of global R&D resources.
  • Financial Analysis: Examine financial performance, identify trends, and suggest adjustments to enhance operational effectiveness and drive profitability.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to executives and senior leadership to inform critical business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Engineering, to ensure financial strategies align with organizational objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Provide strategic and operational due diligence support during R&D-related acquisitions, encompassing financial assessments and post-merger integration strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or accounting is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business planning tools is necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a talent for translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, including P&L statements and profitability variables.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with R&D cost accounting principles is advantageous.
