Job Overview

is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst specializing in FP&A and Strategic Finance to enhance our financial planning and analysis capabilities. Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A and Strategic Finance, you will serve as a key advisor to various stakeholders throughout the organization, playing a crucial role in steering strategic financial decisions.

This position is pivotal and significantly influences the overall performance of the company. You will be instrumental in supporting essential strategic and financial planning initiatives, which encompass strategy formulation, financial forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and investment assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with essential stakeholders to deliver comprehensive FP&A support, which includes annual budgeting, operational and capital expenditure forecasting, financial reporting, ROI analysis, and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee and monitor financial performance in relation to the annual budget, financial plans, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Evaluate variances against plans and forecasts, providing insights into current and anticipated trends while identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Engage in the accounting close process and deliver analytical insights for both internal and external reporting.
  • Create and sustain financial models and tools for investment evaluations, pricing analyses, long-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and scenario modeling to support decision-making across marketing, operations, merchandising, and analytics teams.
  • Assist in strategic finance projects, including fundraising efforts, strategic investments, various capital market activities, and other special projects.
  • Prepare presentations to effectively communicate business and financial plans, as well as results, to senior management, the board of directors, and the investor community.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Proficient financial modeling skills in Excel and adeptness in PowerPoint.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial planning or related finance roles.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, digital marketing, and the wine retail sector.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Hands-on approach with a collaborative spirit across functions.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrates strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about being part of a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing the wine experience for customers.
  • Experience in implementing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting tools is advantageous; familiarity with Tableau is a plus.
