Job Responsibilities and Requirements

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the efficient management of Medical/Surgical ICU patients, including conducting screenings and assessments.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and medication instructions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per physician directives.

To qualify for this position, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • A current Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida, or
  • Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Advanced certifications (such as CEN, TNCC, etc.) are preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as an Acute Care Hospital ICU RN.

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care facility offering a wide range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast, providing interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Our services also encompass labor and delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We provide both inpatient and outpatient surgical services.

Lawnwood Hospital is recognized as a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and our Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited.
