Role Summary and QualificationsThe Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, acting as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures or functions as directed by the medical provider.
- Accurately document care administration in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment utilized in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
- Current Florida RN Licensure or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school is preferred.
- Current BLS & ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- A minimum of one year of RN acute care experience is preferred.
