Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions during surgical procedures, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures or functions as directed by the medical provider.
- Accurately document care provided in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain familiarity with medications, procedures, and equipment used in surgical care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CEN, TNCC) are preferred.
Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.
A minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in the operating room is required.On-call duties are expected.
