Job Description

Job Summary:

This role would support a rapidly growing mechanical contractor that is expanding its services to meet the demands of its loyal customer base. As a key member of the RimePro Inc team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and finalization of mechanical and HVAC projects, ensuring timely completion and staying within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage project development from inception to completion, focusing on HVAC systems, commercial HVAC, retrofit, and split system installations.
  • Utilize project management software to track project timelines, manage submittals, change orders, RFIs, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage project teams, resources, and participants to achieve project goals, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, with the ability to recommend subsequent changes as required to meet project demands.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and upper management.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel based on project needs and timelines.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and deficiencies, determining critical paths and mitigating risks.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, particularly in HVAC retrofit and commercial installations.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables using project management software to ensure timely project execution.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, project management, and estimating software tools to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive progress reports, project proposals, requirement documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, particularly in project management and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Strong familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and project management software.
  • Hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including split systems and retrofit applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management and the ability to work independently and manage project teams.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through strong problem-solving capabilities.

Education, Experience, and/or Licenses:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with a focus on commercial HVAC systems, retrofits, split systems, and project management software experience.
  • Experience with a mechanical/HVAC contractor is highly preferred.
