Job Description
The Lead Software Engineer Consultant is responsible for architecting and designing digital solutions utilizing contemporary tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems. This role involves applying a systematic approach to scientific and technological knowledge, methods, and experience in the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software. The consultant will oversee the operation of their applications in production and will be accountable for the success of digital products by meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates and engages in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups.
  • Contributes to inception and iteration planning meetings, enhancing backlogs with technical insights in close collaboration with the product manager.
  • Mentors the team and leads daily practices in paired programming and test-driven development for software creation and product development.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in one or more business domains and advocates for multiple technology stacks, sharing knowledge across the organization.
  • Collaborates in strategy alignment across product portfolios with product managers, peers, and key stakeholders.
  • Leads and participates in retrospectives, encouraging feedback with empathy from all participants.
  • Provides support for software products in user environments.
  • Establishes practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
  • Coordinates work with offshore resources, including conducting peer reviews of delivered work.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 12+ months of experience in Lender Placed Insurance Tracking and Loss Draft business services, with hands-on application development experience in a lead capacity.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a full-stack Microsoft developer.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in classic ASP, Angular, and Blazor.
  • Experience in developing Web UI, web services, and APIs.
  • Familiarity with the latest security protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL (T-SQL, Database design).
  • Ability to create technical design documentation.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is advantageous.
Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
