Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Smart City Networks, Limited Partnership. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our events by providing exceptional customer service, coordinating logistics, and resolving customer sales and service issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate customer sales and service activities with show management, site management, and major customers to respond to client needs and resolve customer sales and service issues during pre-show and through onsite presence at assigned shows.
  • Collect payment prior to show for all scheduled show management services.
  • Fully utilize and understand all aspects of company proprietary software system.
  • Assist and answer all customer sales and service staff inquiries on input and system issues.
  • Resolve all errors of customer billing and interface with customers to solve issues and suggest additional services, if needed.
  • Initiate credit card searches and resolve billing/payment issues with client.
  • Understand and clearly explain all aspects of company products to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy in relation to customer credit card and prepayment requirements.
  • Interact with customers and show managers on a regular basis.
  • Respond to complex questions regarding multiple areas, including accounting, billing, networking, collections, etc.
  • Provide guidance and training to lower-level CSSRs. Functions as a lead, regional specialist, or assistant to manager as needed.
  • Provide proactive support and coordination for pre-show and on-site collection efforts.
  • Obtain customer approval and signature on all requested services.
  • Prepare all show site reports.
  • Communicate with other department team members on customer sales and service issues.
  • Attend pre-conference meetings.
  • Distribute/collect show manager equipment rentals.
  • Review billing with show management.
  • Collect show management survey.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to multiple interruptions in a professional manner.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Professional presence.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
