Your Role:
As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in transforming blueprints into reality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Precisely laying out and assembling fabricated components in accordance with shop drawings and industry standards.
- Ensuring that all parts meet the specifications outlined by AISC and AWS.
- Prioritizing safety to mitigate risks to yourself and your colleagues.
Join us in crafting structures that endure, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Layout and assembly of fabricated parts following shop drawings.
- Positioning, aligning, and fitting together structural metal products based on blueprints.
- Marking reference points and centerlines on workpieces.
- Moving parts into position using manual or mechanical means.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, with a certificate from a Vo-Tech or Trade school in mechanics.
- Proficiency in fitting various structural steel components.
- Ability to pass Class B welding tests.
- Capability to pass a tape measure test.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds frequently.
- Requires bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and a noisy work environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
