Position Overview:
Scion Nonprofit Staffing is conducting a search for a Grants & Contracts Coordinator for a globally impactful nonprofit organization focused on biodiversity, conservation, and human rights, working in solidarity with Indigenous communities worldwide. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Seattle, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform due diligence prior to grant awards, including financial risk assessments and security screenings, while establishing appropriate financial risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead to review submitted proposals and budgets, developing grant agreements that include reporting and payment schedules.
- Regularly assess reports from the grants management system to ensure compliance of active grants in partnership with Program Coordinators.
- Oversee the approval of disbursements and ensure accuracy within grant and financial systems.
- In collaboration with Program Coordinators, review financial reports submitted by grantees for accuracy and compliance with established policies.
- Foster and maintain effective, collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Address day-to-day compliance issues and proactively identify and resolve potential compliance concerns.
- Ensure timely and efficient resolution of compliance issues.
- Manage ongoing grant data entry, data integrity, and maintenance within Salesforce.
- Stay updated on compliance matters.
- Review contract intake information and assist in drafting contracts.
- Ensure all contract intake procedures are thoroughly checked.
- Conduct data entry and maintenance within the contracts module in Salesforce.
- Generate reports as needed.
- Support updates and maintenance of templates.
- Assist in the contracts close-out process.
- Provide support in drafting various types of agreements as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grants or contracts management.
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong data management skills.
- Familiarity with databases, including the capability to build and edit reports.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to create presentations to communicate process updates effectively.
- High cultural fluency, with an understanding and respect for the cultural nuances associated with working alongside Indigenous peoples.
- Proficiency in Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese is advantageous.
- Experience working with global organizations and frameworks.
Compensation and Benefits:
This role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team. The pay range for this position is $31 - $34 per hour, in addition to comprehensive benefits including Health, Dental, Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, and Disability Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, 12 Paid Holidays, 2 Paid Volunteer Days, 3 Personal Days, and the potential to accumulate 6 weeks of PTO and Paid Sick Leave.
