Compensation Overview
Annual Salary: $69,500 - $136,500, based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.
Position Overview
This role encompasses the comprehensive management of existing commercial accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities within assigned clients and targeted prospects. Typically, this includes companies with annual revenues up to $20 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in outreach initiatives with assigned clients and prospective customers to generate new business.
- Act as the primary consultant for a diverse portfolio of complex commercial relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with product specialists to cross-sell a comprehensive suite of financial products and services.
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of the portfolio to mitigate risks and enhance profitability.
- Facilitate credit requests, including structuring loans, negotiating terms, ensuring proper documentation, and assessing industry and credit risks.
- Resolve client issues and collaborate with product experts as necessary.
- Participate in community and business events to promote a positive image of the Bank and establish referral networks.
- Ensure adherence to all Bank policies, procedures, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Comprehensive understanding of a full range of commercial banking products, credit policies, and procedures.
- Possess a valid driver's license and meet the Bank's driving record criteria; ongoing employment may depend on meeting these requirements.
- Intermediate strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with credit analysis skills.
- Intermediate persuasive and negotiation skills complemented by strong sales capabilities.
- Intermediate decision-making skills, requiring some managerial oversight.
- Ability to structure complex credit requests.
- Self-motivated and organized individual with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Inquisitive, adaptable, and a strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to remain flexible and resilient in various situations, maintaining a positive outlook aligned with our culture and core values.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial banking is required.
For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history. If you express interest in and are considered for this position, you will be asked to authorize that report.
Additionally, Commerce Bank will review your motor vehicle driving record as part of the hiring process.
