Evening Operations Supervisor for Janitorial Services

City Wide Facility Solutions is currently seeking a Night Operations Supervisor for Janitorial Services to oversee our Franchise operations in Northern New Jersey.
The Night Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing and ensuring the quality of janitorial services at various client sites, enhancing client satisfaction, and collaborating with Independent Contractors (ICs) to uphold or elevate service standards. This role requires the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with Independent Contractors (ICs) by conveying client priorities and addressing daily operational challenges.
- Conduct daily visits to assigned accounts to perform quality assessments.
- Review the scope of work with ICs to ensure compliance with service agreements.
- Maintain daily communication with the Account Manager (FSM) regarding urgent matters, including nightly summaries via email or phone.
- Recommend IC work assignments, ensuring adherence to client expectations and company policies, and take action if standards are not met.
- Handle inspections, customer feedback, service requests, and special client needs.
- Implement City Wide's New-Start Policy, Customer Complaint Policy, Four Star Policy, and other operational protocols.
- Ensure adherence to client policies and procedures, including the proper use of approved cleaning tools and equipment.
- Perform additional duties, including backup janitorial work as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in the commercial janitorial services sector.
- A minimum of three years of management experience, including coaching, motivating, and leading teams across multiple locations.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is advantageous.
- Prior experience in building, facility, or service management is a plus.
- Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance (vehicle mileage reimbursement is provided).
- Consistent and punctual attendance is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in computer usage, including CRM and email systems.
- Familiarity with MS Office and internet skills is required.
- Service hours typically range from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Capable of writing routine inspection reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate positively and motivate others regarding quality control and corrective measures.
- Skills in issue resolution and effective communication.
- Handyman skills are a plus.
- Service hours generally between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM, subject to daily business needs.
- This is an hourly position with a pay range of $20 to $25 based on experience.
- This is a field-based role, requiring visits to various accounts without the necessity of reporting to an office.
The physical demands of this position require the employee to meet the following:
- Frequent sitting, bending, standing, and walking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional movement of equipment in your vehicle.
- Capability to perform basic janitorial tasks as needed.
