Evening Operations Supervisor for Janitorial Services

City Wide Facility Solutions is currently seeking a Night Operations Supervisor for Janitorial Services to oversee our franchise operations in Northern New Jersey.
The Night Operations Supervisor will be tasked with managing and conducting quality assessments of janitorial services at various client sites, enhancing client satisfaction, and collaborating with Independent Contractors (ICs) to ensure service excellence. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with Independent Contractors (ICs) by conveying client priorities and addressing daily operational challenges.
- Conduct routine visits to client accounts as per the schedule to perform quality inspections.
- Review the scope of work with ICs to ensure compliance with agreed standards.
- Maintain daily communication with the Account Manager (FSM) regarding any urgent matters, including nightly recaps via email or phone.
- Provide recommendations for IC work assignments, ensuring adherence to client expectations and company policies, and take necessary actions if standards are not met.
- Manage inspections, address customer complaints, fulfill customer requests, and oversee new client onboarding or special treatment needs.
- Implement City Wide's New-Start Policy, Customer Complaint Policy, Four Star Policy, and other operational guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to client policies and procedures, as well as the proper use of approved cleaning tools and equipment.
- Perform additional duties, including backup janitorial tasks as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in the commercial janitorial services sector.
- A minimum of three years of management experience, including coaching, motivating, and leading teams across multiple locations.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is advantageous.
- Prior experience in building, facility, or service management is a plus.
- Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance (vehicle mileage reimbursement will be provided).
- Consistent and punctual attendance is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in computer usage, including CRM and email systems.
- Familiarity with MS Office and internet applications is required.
- Service hours typically range from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Capability to write routine inspection reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication and motivational skills regarding quality control and corrective actions.
- Conflict resolution and complaint handling skills are necessary.
- Handyman skills are a plus.
- Service hours generally fall between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM, subject to daily business needs.
- This is an hourly position with a pay rate ranging from $20 to $25, depending on experience.
- This is a field-based role, requiring visits to accounts throughout designated counties without the necessity of reporting to an office.
The physical demands of this position require the employee to successfully perform essential functions, including:
- Frequent sitting, bending, standing, and walking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional movement of equipment in your vehicle.
- Ability to perform basic janitorial services as needed.
