City Wide Facility Solutions is currently seeking a Night Operations Supervisor for Janitorial Services for our franchise in Northern New Jersey.
The Night Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the quality of janitorial services at various client sites, enhancing client satisfaction, and collaborating with Independent Contractors (ICs) to uphold or elevate service standards. This position requires the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with Independent Contractors (ICs) by conveying client priorities and addressing daily operational challenges.
- Conduct routine visits to each account as per the schedule to perform quality assessments.
- Review the scope of work with ICs to ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards.
- Maintain daily communication with the Account Manager (FSM) regarding any urgent matters, including nightly summaries via email or phone.
- Provide recommendations for IC work assignments, ensuring adherence to client expectations and company protocols, and take necessary actions if standards are not met.
- Manage inspections, handle customer complaints, address customer requests, and oversee new client onboarding or special treatment needs.
- Implement City Wide's New-Start Policy, Customer Complaint Policy, Four Star Policy, and other operational guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with client policies and procedures, as well as the proper use of approved cleaning tools and equipment.
- Perform additional duties, including backup janitorial tasks as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in the commercial janitorial services sector.
- A minimum of three years of management experience, including coaching, motivating, and leading teams across multiple locations.
- Strong organizational, planning, and attention to detail skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Previous experience in building, facility, or service management is advantageous.
- Must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and insurance (vehicle mileage reimbursement will be provided).
- Consistent and punctual attendance is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in computer usage, including CRM and email systems.
- Familiarity with MS Office and internet skills is required.
- Service hours typically range from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Capable of writing routine inspection reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate positively and motivate regarding quality control and corrective actions.
- Skills in issue resolution and conflict management are essential.
- Handyman skills are a plus.
- Service hours generally between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM, subject to daily business needs.
- This is an hourly position with a pay rate ranging from $20 to $25 based on experience.
- This is a field-based role, requiring visits to various accounts without the necessity of reporting to an office.
The physical demands of this position require the employee to meet the following:
- Constant sitting, bending, standing, and walking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to transport equipment in your vehicle as needed.
- Ability to perform basic janitorial services occasionally as a backup.
