Job Description: Are you enthusiastic about supporting and caring for individuals with developmental disabilities? Do you seek an organization that aids clients in realizing their aspirations? North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit entity that partners with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are in search of Client Support Services Coordinators to join our committed team of program coordinators. At North Bay, we promote opportunities by facilitating choices for individuals with developmental disabilities. In the role of Client Support Services Coordinator, you will oversee the provision of services to clients, including those with significant physical or emotional needs, ensuring that the client's Individual Program Plan and its objectives are effectively pursued.

Job Responsibilities: Our Client Support Services Coordinators are tasked with employing person-centered planning to assist clients in utilizing public and private resources before resorting to regional center funds for service purchases. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring vendor services and confirming that services are delivered according to the purchase of service authorizations.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of clients' Individual Program Plans and ensuring that suitable community resources are accessible to the client.
  • Conducting annual reassessments of clients' developmental status in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Occasionally conducting client assessments.
  • Job Requirements: To qualify for the Client Support Services Coordinator role, you must enjoy working with clients and assisting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Additional requirements include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field related to developmental disabilities (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, or Nursing).
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish to English) is highly desirable.

This position will primarily be office-based; however, remote work may occasionally be available.

A note regarding NBRC's expectations regarding remote, hybrid, and home-based work:
All employment at NBRC necessitates face-to-face, in-person interactions with clients, family members, community, and colleagues. Candidates for employment must reside within commuting distance to their preferred NBRC office, as well as the geographical location of their assigned clients. While 100% remote work is not available to NBRC employees, a hybrid work arrangement combining in-office and home-based work may be available for new employees after successfully demonstrating achievement of performance expectations following at least 3 months of in-office work.
