Position: Accounting Manager
Join Vaco, a leading organization in the financial sector, as we seek an experienced Accounting Manager to enhance our dynamic team. In this essential position, you will work closely with the Director of Accounting/Controller to manage key elements of financial oversight. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is dedicated to improving processes and fostering career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure adherence to federal regulations by maintaining precise general ledger entries, including intercompany transactions.
• Evaluate transactions for accurate revenue recognition and provisions in accordance with accounting periods.
• Facilitate the timely documentation of intercompany transactions.
• Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Lead month-end reconciliation and consolidation activities for designated entities.
• Investigate and resolve technical accounting challenges across consolidated entities and subsidiaries.
• Oversee insurance-related reserves and reinsurance issues in partnership with the risk management team.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and automate processes.
• Establish and uphold strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure correct expense allocation across various accounts, including medical loss for quality enhancement programs.
• Act as the NetSuite manager, improving accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Work alongside the finance team to analyze discrepancies between actual results and budget/forecast.

Qualifications:
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Background in Big 4 public accounting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, and analytical skills.

Compensation:
The compensation for this role at Vaco is determined by various factors, including individual skills, experience, training, and other business needs. As required by local law, the estimated salary range for this position is $125K - $140K annually.
