Position Overview:

The Senior Accounting Specialist will oversee a variety of accounting, reporting, and compliance tasks at the corporate level for a public company in the manufacturing sector with significant revenue.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred) or within a publicly traded company
  • CPA certification or candidate status
  • Familiarity with multi-location and multi-currency consolidation, including foreign currency translation
  • Experience with SOX compliance, either as an auditor or a control preparer
  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and various accounting reports
  • Ability to collaborate with controllers or accounting teams across different regions
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables and lookup functions
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
