Position Overview

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the VP of Finance across all financial operations within the corporate structure, while also collaborating with the Business Integration team, Accounting, and Technology departments. This role demands active participation in the formulation of financial and accounting reports, strategic objectives, and operational plans aimed at achieving business growth and profitability targets. Furthermore, the Analyst will assist the VP of Finance in managing financial forecasts and budgets to ensure the successful realization of these goals. This position will require interaction with various levels of the organization, including accounting, sales, operations, technology, mergers and acquisitions, and legal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the FP&A team in enhancing operational efficiencies, financial policies, and business strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and potential opportunities/risks; update as necessary.
  • Facilitate the presentation of financial reporting and analysis to both regional and corporate management.
  • Analyze and clarify year-over-year variations in actual or projected financial results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the financial statistics of the firms served, including C&F roll forward, headcount analysis, and other pertinent KPIs.
  • Examine and elucidate any discrepancies between actual results and budget/forecast figures.
  • Collaborate with the team to generate reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the integration of acquisitions.
  • Execute various Corporate Finance initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
  • Experience in insurance brokerage is preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates with 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with Lawson, Cognos, IBM Planning Analytics, and insurance agency management systems (EPIC & Salesforce) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, reporting systems, and the ability to learn new systems is essential, with a strong emphasis on Excel skills.
