We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our healthcare team. Role Overview:

In this position, you will work closely with clients to fulfill various Occupational Health requirements, including pre-employment assessments, Department of Transportation (DOT) evaluations, and workers' compensation care. A current DOT certification or the willingness to obtain one after hiring is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage healthcare for individuals and families, working both independently and in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Provide a comprehensive range of medical services focused on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of both acute and chronic conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse Practitioner:
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing and nurse practitioner program.
  • Master's degree is mandatory.
  • Current RN License is required.
  • Certification or eligibility for certification through the ANA national exam as ANP or FNP.
  • Experience in ANP or FNP is preferred.
  • Physician Assistant:
  • Graduated from an accredited physician assistant training program.
  • Possess a current Minnesota PA license.
  • Certification or eligibility for certification through the NCCPA national exam as PA.
  • Experience as a PA is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require lifting and conducting physical examinations. Adequate vision, hearing, and motor skills are necessary for medical procedures. Candidates should be able to work while walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, with mobility and dexterity being essential for job functions.

Practice Guidelines:

The Nurse Practitioner practice is defined and licensed by the MN Board of Nursing, while the Physician Assistant practice is defined by the AAPA. Certification organizations such as ANCC or NCCPA oversee the NP/PA specialty practice.

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant plays a crucial role in health assessments, developing care plans, prescribing treatments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
