Overview:

Allina Health is a not-for-profit organization with a network of over 90 clinics and 10 hospitals across the region. Located in a vibrant area, Allina Health offers a supportive environment for both professional growth and community engagement.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time role with a schedule of four 10-hour days.
  • Involves both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Includes rotating supervision of hyperbaric oxygen therapy patients.
  • Weekend rounding approximately every 6-7 weeks, with no weekday or weeknight call.
  • Collaborative team environment with 7 Vascular Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Utilizes Epic, a leading electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments.
  • Diagnose and determine treatment plans for various conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Prescribe necessary medications, therapies, and medical equipment.
  • Provide patient education to manage chronic conditions and promote wellness.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

Preferred Experience:

  • New graduates may be considered; however, a minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery or vascular care is preferred.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) is required upon hire.
  • Active RN license in Minnesota is required for Nurse Practitioner candidates.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an active MN NP/PA license.
  • BLS certification is required within 180 days of hire.
  • Must meet criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Lifting weights up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently, in accordance with Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy.
