**About the Role**

TeamHealth is seeking a highly skilled physician leader to join our emergency department team at Regional Medical Center in San Jose, California. As a facility medical director, you will provide clinical and administrative leadership for emergency medicine services, collaborating with TeamHealth and hospital leadership to drive excellence in patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to emergency medicine physicians and staff
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure seamless integration of emergency medicine services
  • Maintain a clinical practice and provide direct patient care in the emergency department
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures

**About the Facility**

Regional Medical Center is a 358-bed hospital with an annual volume of 93,000 patients and a 20% admission rate. The emergency department uses Meditech as its electronic medical record system, and physicians see an average of 2.28 patients per hour.
