Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will conduct clinical testing in various areas, including blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, microbiology, and manual tests. Our team prides itself on a supportive family-like environment, and we are looking for someone who shares our dedication to patient care.

  • Perform automated, semi-automated, and manual procedures in bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and immunohematology, following established protocols.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment, interpret results for accuracy and critical limits, and organize work to meet deadlines while documenting all data obtained.
  • Collaborate effectively with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care and assist with regulatory compliance.
  • Train laboratory personnel and assume in-charge responsibilities in the absence of a manager.

Qualifications:

  • Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license as per CA State Board regulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
