Role Overview:
  • The client seeks a dedicated intermediate software engineer with a strong focus on enhancing the performance of critical applications and benchmarks. You will collaborate with a team of highly skilled industry experts, utilizing cutting-edge hardware and software technologies.
  • Successful candidates will engage with an international software organization to facilitate systems used in machine learning and computing, which includes the development and support of Linux drivers, tools, libraries, and documentation applied to a comprehensive system architecture. Your primary responsibilities will involve developing, implementing, and refining software crucial for the client’s data center products.
Candidate Profile:
  • The ideal candidate should exhibit a passion for software engineering and possess the leadership capabilities to resolve complex issues. Effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams are essential.
  • We are looking for a motivated, innovative, and results-driven engineer who is enthusiastic about pioneering technology and thrives in a dynamic environment. A degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering is preferred, with a keen interest in developing, enhancing, and supporting Linux software. A willingness to tackle complex challenges is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with architecture specialists to enhance future product offerings.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to target optimization initiatives.
  • Stay updated on software and hardware trends, particularly in algorithms and architecture.
  • Design and develop innovative technologies for the client.
  • Participate in new ASIC and hardware introductions.
  • Establish technical relationships with peers and partners.
  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
  • Develop for continuous integration and automated deployment processes.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for internal/external drivers, libraries, tools, and documentation.
  • Create automation tools for building, testing, deployment, and monitoring on Linux.
  • Troubleshoot and debug system-level issues and features.
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement across all activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong background in object-oriented programming, with proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
  • Ability to produce high-quality code with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs.
  • Familiarity with Linux GPU kernel driver development.
  • Experience with continuous integration systems, such as Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Linux kernel development experience, either in core kernel or device driver development.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and tools, including debuggers and profilers, is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in developing and debugging system hardware and software or firmware for embedded systems.
  • Understanding of computer organization/architecture, machine learning, and high-performance computing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Academic Credentials:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
